Adoption in Isalam

Answer:
Adoption in Isalam
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.25 Narrated by Aisha
Abu Hudhaifa bin Utba bin Rabi'a bin Abdi Shams who had witnessed the battle of Badr along with the Prophet (saws) adopted Salim as his son, to whom he married his niece, Hind bint Al-Walid bin 'Utba bin Rabi'a; and Salim was the freed slave of an Ansar woman, just as the Prophet (saws) had adopted Zaid as his son. It was the custom in the Pre-Islamic period that if somebody adopted a boy, the people would call him the son of the adoptive father and he would be the latter's heir. But when Allah revealed the Divine Verses: "Call them by (the names of) their fathers……" (33.5) the adopted persons were called by their fathers' names. The one whose father was not known, would be regarded as a Maula and their brother in religion.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.305         Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar
We used not to call Zaid bin Haritha (r.a.) the freed slave and adopted son of Allah's Messenger (saws) except Zaid bin Muhammad till the Quranic Verse was revealed: "Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers. That is more than just in the Sight of Allah." (33.5)
The Messenger of Allah (saws) himself adopted the slave-boy Zaid bin Haritha (r.a.) given as a gift to him by his wife Hadrat Khadijah (r.a.)…..Hadrat Zaid (r.a.) lived and grew up in the Prophet’s (saws) household along with his other children, and until the Divine Verses of Surah Ahzaab were revealed years later in Madinah, Hadrat Zaid bin Haritha (r.a.) was called and recognized and Zaid bin Mohamed (saws)!
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4974        Narrated by Abu Umamah
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "If anyone strokes an orphan's head, doing so only for Allah's Sake, he will have blessings for every hair over which his hand passes; and if anyone treats well an orphan girl or boy under his care, he and I (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) shall be like these two in Paradise," putting two of his fingers together!
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4973        Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "The best house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is well treated, and the worst house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is badly treated."
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.34 Narrated by Sahl bin Sad
The Prophet (saws) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together.”
In light of the above guidance of the Quran and Sunnah not only is adoption permitted in Islam, it is highly encouraged and an extremely meritorious act in the Sight of the Lord Most Gracious.
There is absolutely no restriction in Shariah regarding a single woman adopting a child, but because the relationship of blood in Islamic Law has obvious ties towards marriage, inheritance, etc.; there are certain guidelines in Islam a believer who wishes to adopt must follow:
  1. The child will always be called by his/her biological father’s name.
  2. The child will only inherit from his original blood-relationship.   He will not be eligible to inherit from his foster-parents.  The foster-parents who adopt the child have the option to will or bequeath upto a maximum of one/third of their wealth to their adopted children after their death, if they wish to do so.
  3. If the foster-mother has nursed the adopted child in her infancy, then she will be considered a mehram of the child; but if the foster-mother has not nursed the adopted child, then she will not be considered a mehram of the adopted child.

Islam in the Americas

Barmakid Family (600s-900s)

The Barmakids were a family of Buddhist administrators from the city of Balkh, in what is now Afghanistan. When the Umayyad Caliphate conquered the area in the the mid-600s, the family converted to Islam. After the Abbasid Revolution in 750, the Barmakids rose to prominence as talented administrators. They carried with them centuries of experience in the Persian Empire of how to manage large government bureaucracies, something the Arab Abbasid caliphs were ignorant of.
As viziers, they exercised great influence on the formation of the empire in the late 8th century. Yahya ibn Khalid al-Barmaki was particularly influential. He was appointed as the tutor and mentor to the young Harun al-Rashid, who would go on to become the caliph during which the Abbasids had their golden age. Under his tutelage, Harun al-Rashid managed to establish peace with the empire’s neighbors, exponential economic growth, the patronage of scholars, and a system of infrastructure that rivaled that of ancient Rome. The Barmakid family as a whole thus had a huge impact on the political shape of the Muslim world that would continue for centuries.

Berke Khan (Unknown-1266)

As the grandson of the great Mongol conqueror, Genghis Khan, Berke Khan was an important figure in the Mongol world in the mid-1200s. Like other Mongols, he originally practiced a form of pagan shamanism. As the leader in the Golden Horde – a Mongol army –  he was sent to the North Caucasus Mountains and Eastern Europe to subdue the Kipchak Turks. He eventually managed to lead armies all the way into Hungary.

Hulagu Khan's army attacking Baghdad

Then during his travels back towards the Mongol homeland, he stopped in Bukhara where he questioned local Muslims about their beliefs. He was convinced of the message of Islam and converted, becoming the first Mongol leader to accept Islam. After his conversion, many of the soldiers in his army also converted, leading to tension with the other Mongol armies, who were ravaging Muslim lands, including the ancient capital of the Abbasids, Baghdad.
After hearing of the sack of Baghdad in 1258 by his cousin, Hulagu Khan, Berke promised vengance, declaring, ”He (Hulagu) has sacked all the cities of the Muslims, and has brought about the death of the Caliph. With the help of God I will call him to account for so much innocent blood.” By allying with the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt, Berke managed to hold back Hulagu’s army enough to prevent a major invasion (and destruction) of the remainder of Muslim lands in Egypt, Syria, and the Hijaz.

Zağanos Pasha (Unknown-1461)

Of Greek or Albanian origin, Zağanos Pasha was drafted into the elite Janissary corps of the Ottoman Empire as a child. Like other Janissaries, he was educated in Islam, civil administration, and military matters. He was soon appointed as a mentor and advisor for a young Mehmed II, who would later become the seventh sultan in the Ottoman dynasty.
When Mehmed became sultan, he appointed Zağanos Pasha as his second vizier. Zağanos Pasha was commonly consulted on all matters of state, especially the siege and conquest of Constantinople in 1453. During the siege, he was given command of a section of the army north of the city, and his troops were among the first to successfully capture a portion of Constantinople’s legendary walls. His legacy lives today in the numerous endowments (including mosques, soup kitchens, and public baths) in his hometown of Balikesir as well as in Edirne.

Ibrahim Muteferrika (1674-1745)

A page from an atlas printed by Ibrahim Muteferrika.A common accusation thrown at the Ottoman Empire is that it was intellectually stagnant and resistant to any innovation. A Hungarian convert to Islam – Ibrahim Muteferrika – flies in the face of that idea. He was originally an Ottoman diplomat who managed to cultivate close relations between the Ottoman Empire and France and Sweden. As a result of his diplomatic work, he was exposed to European ideas on the Renaissance and the ubiquitous use of the printing press.
Back in Istanbul, he established a printing press, where he printed copies of atlases, dictionaries, and some religious books. Among his published works was a world atlas made by the famous geographer Katip Çelebi, which illustrates the entire known world at that time in incredible detail and precision. Besides simply printing books, Muteferrika also wrote on numerous subjects, including history, theology, sociology, and astronomy.

Alexander Russel Webb (1846-1916)

In late 19th century America, journalism was beginning to take off as an effective and influential medium for influencing the public. One of the men who helped spur this journalistic wave was Alexander Russell Webb. Unconvinced about his Christian religion, and being a well-read journalist, he began to read extensively about other religions, and was particularly interested in Islam. When he was appointed by the U.S. State Department to work in the American embassy in the Philippines in 1887, he took the opportunity to begin a correspondence with Muslims in India about Islam.
Although he was originally introduced to Islam through members of the unorthodox (and frankly, un-Islamic) Ahmadiyya Movement, he eventually found a path to mainstream Islam. He proceeded to travel throughout the Muslim world, studying Islam and meeting with scholars. In 1893, he resigned his post at the State Department and returned to America. Back in the United States, he published numerous books on Islam and started an Islamic newspaper explaining the religion to the American public. In the early decades of the 20th century, he continued to be a prominent voice for Islam in the United States, even being appointed an honorary Ottoman consul by Sultan Abdulhamid II. He died in 1916 and was buried outside Rutherford, New Jersey.

Malcolm X (1925-1965)

Unlike others on this list, Malcolm X is hardly a man who needs much introduction. Early in his life, he struggled finding his role in the world. After dropping out of school early, he constantly found himself in trouble, eventually landing himself in jail in 1946. During his 8 years in prison, he was exposed to the ideas of the Nation of Islam – a pseudo-Islamic group founded in the early 1900s based on the ideas of black supremacy and the evil of the white race. After being released in 1952, he met with the “prophet” of the NOI, Elijah Muhammad, and became a minister for the group.

 Malcolm X

Due to his eloquence and incredible intelligence, Malcolm X quickly rose through the ranks of the NOI, becoming a leader of the group by the mid-1950s. As this was the era of the American Civil Rights Movement, Malcolm X became one of the foremost voices in America advocating for equal rights for African Americans. Contrary to another great leader, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X believed black people should defend themselves – even violently – if needed due to government oppression.
By the late 1950s, Malcolm X began to see some holes in the beliefs and ideas of the Nation of Islam movement. He left the group and embarked on a journey to find what true Islam is. He went to Hajj in 1964, then proceeded to tour Muslim and African countries. During this time he accepted true Islam and came back to America with a new found determination to spread Islam among the African American community. His public speaking on behalf of Islam and against the Nation of Islam made him many enemies among his old allies, especially when many of his fans began to leave the Nation in favor of mainstream Islam. The result of this was his assassination in 1965 at the hands of Nation of Islam thugs. Although his time as a Muslim was short, he was remarkably influential and continues to serve as a symbol for American Muslims and civil rights activists in the United States.

Sex before marriage

Answer:

Sex before marriage
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: We both want to be forgiven for the mistake we made.
My beloved sister in Islam,  if one is ashamed of one’s past deeds,  and genuinely turns to The Merciful Lord and seeks sincere repentance for the deeds one did in the past,  and makes a solemn covenant with his Lord that he will not commit the evil again,  and believes and does righteous deeds thereafter;   he will find his Lord Oft Forgiving,  Most Merciful.

Whatever sins you might have done in your past, if you sincerely turn to the Merciful Lord in sincere repentance and Taubah before your appointment of death,  and amend your conduct hereafter;  it is expected that you will find your Lord Forgiving and Merciful.   Never ever despair of Allah’s Mercy;  for Allah Subhanah is extremely loving and Merciful towards His believing slaves.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verses 53-54: (O Prophet) say: “O My servants who have wronged their own souls….Do not despair of Allah’s Mercy!  Surely,  Allah forgives all sins.   He indeed is the All Forgiving,  All Merciful.   Return to your Lord and submit to Him before the scourge overtakes you;  for then you may get no help from anywhere.”

The conditions or way to seek sincere Taubah or Repentance from the Merciful Lord are:
One is aware that he has sinned,  and feels sorry and ashamed at his sin.
Makes a solemn covenant and promise with Allah that he will not repeat his sin again.
Turns to Allah and seeks forgiveness,  before he has met with his appointment of death.
Is a believer and does righteous good deeds thereafter.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 135-136: Allah likes such good people very much, who,  if ever they commit a base deed or wrong their own soul by the commission of a sin,  remember Allah instantly,  and ask for forgiveness from Him for their shortcomings.  For who,  but Allah,  can forgive sins?   (And Allah loves those) who do not knowingly persist in the wrongs they did.   These will be rewarded with forgiveness from Allah,  and with Gardens beneath which canals flow,  and they will reside therein forever!   How excellent is the reward of those who do good deeds!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqaan verses 63-71: The (true) servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth.   When the ignorant people behave insolently towards them,  they say, “Peace to you”;  (And those) who pass their nights in prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord and pray, “O our Lord,  save us from the torment of Hell,  for its torment is killing!  It is an evil abode,  and an evil resting place”.  (And those) who,  when they spend are neither extravagant,  nor miserly,  but keep the golden mean between the two extremes.  (And those) who do not invoke any god but Allah Alone,  nor kill a soul unjustly,  which Allah has forbidden,  nor commit adultery… He who does this shall be punished for his sin,  and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection,  and he shall abide in a state of ignominy;  EXCEPT THE ONE WHO MAY HAVE REPENTED (AFTER THOSE SINS),  AND HAVE BELIEVED AND DONE RIGHTEOUS DEEDS.   For then,  Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds,  and He is very Forgiving and Merciful.   In fact,  one who repents and does righteous deeds,  returns to Allah as one rightly should!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 54: When those come to you who believe in Our Signs,  say: "Peace be on you!  Your Lord had inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy.  Verily if any of you did evil in ignorance,  and thereafter repented and amended (his conduct),  Lo! He is Oft-Forgiving,  Most Merciful."

Your Question: But I heard from somewhere that if a couple have intercourse before marriage they are not allowed to get married in Islam.
If a couple commit the sin of fornication or have sexual intercourse before marriage, and subsequently seek repentance for their sins from the Merciful Lord, there is absolutely nothing in Islamic Law that would prohibit their marriage to each other.

Attend jumua friday prayer

Answer:
Attend jumua friday prayer
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
To attend and observe the Friday mid-day prayers in congregation is a direct Command of the Lord Who Created; and there is just no room for an adult, sane, male believer to intentionally miss the offering of one’s Friday mid-day prayers in congregation in Shariah, unless one has an absolutely genuine excuse.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 62 Surah Jumua verses 9-10:
9        O ye who believe!  When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly) hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah and leave off business (and traffic): that is best for you if ye but knew!
10      And when the Prayer is finished then may ye disperse through the land and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.
Your Question: …..So please tell me what i should do? If I go for JUMA my colege cant go which is also a problem. Please tell me what i should do in this regard.
If the job or duty one is entrusted with involves an emergency where a life or death could be effected by their absence….for example a doctor, or fire services, or the police, or army on duty, etc…..and one cannot arrange or find another person to substitute their place for the duration of the Jumuah prayer, there is a chance that their excuse for reluctantly not being able to attend one of the Jumuah prayers might be acceptable in the Presence of their Lord.
But if one has a duty or a job which is not an emergency nor does it effect life or death….but is rather only commercially urgent….then without an iota of a doubt, that would not be a valid excuse at all for a believer to miss one’s Jumuah prayer.
Ibn Mas'ud reports that the Prophet (saws) noticed some people staying away from al-Jumu'ah (Friday midday sermon and prayer)and said: "I had the notion to order someone to lead the people in prayer, and then to go and burn the houses of those who stayed away from al-Jumu'ah."
Related by Ahmad and Muslim.
Abu Hurairah and Ibn 'Umar report that they heard the Prophet (saws) say: "Those who are not attending the Jumua Salah should change their ways; otherwise, Allah, the Exalted, will seal their hearts and they will be reckoned the heedless."
Related by Muslim, Ahmad and an-Nasa'i.
Abu al-Ja'd ad-Damari reports that the Prophet (saws) said: "Whoever misses three Jumua prayers in a row out of negligence will have a seal put over his heart by Allah."
Related by Bukhari and Muslim.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Steal money for unpaid salary

Answer:
Steal money for unpaid salary
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 135:
135     O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice as witnesses to Allah even as against yourselves or your parents or your kin and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both.  Follow not the lusts (of your hearts) lest ye swerve and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.
Respected brother, if your employer is not paying you your lawful dues according to the contract he made with you, you are well within your rights to pursue every lawful and legal means available to you to make sure that your employer fulfills his contract.  Respected brother, rest assured that even if your employer somehow gets away with his injustice and his oppression in the life of this short and transitory world, never ever will he be able to get away without paying you your full and due retribution in the Presence of the Lord Most High on that Inevitable and Tumultuous Day of Judgment….and that too in the ‘currency’ of the Hereafter (ie. deeds)!
Just because your employer has chosen to usurp your lawful rights, does not give you a right to usurp the rights that are due from you to your employer!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 177:
177    It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces toward East or West; but righteousness is to believe in Allah, and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance out of love for Him for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer and practice regular charity; to fulfill the trusts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic.  Such are the people of Truth, the Allah-fearing.
Respected brother, if perchance you have been entrusted with the cash, it is your duty that you fulfill your trust with total and absolute honesty.  If Allah forbid, you were to betray the trust and take something from the cash entrusted to you for yourself, not only would it be considered theft in the sight of the law of the land, but also in the Sight of the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme.

Sunnah of digging for burial janaza

Answer:
Sunnah of digging for burial janaza
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
There are basically two types of graves which can be dug to bury the believers, and although the scholars and jurists in Islam consider all of them to be permissible, the most preferred type is the horizontal ‘bagli’ or ‘lahd’ type.
  1. Vertically dug pit where the body is laid, and then covered directly by sand. Or alternatively, a vertically dug grave where the body is laid, then some slabs of stone or a seeming partition is laid on top of the body and then covered by sand….generally known as the ‘shaqq’ type.
  2. Vertically dug grave where a horizontal crevice is dug and the body is laid in the horizontal crevice of the grave….generally known as the ‘lahd’ type.
Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 4.62b
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (r.a.) reported: "When the Prophet (saws) died, there were two grave diggers. One usually dug the ‘lahd’ and the other a regular ‘shaqq’ type of grave. The companions counseled amongst each other and decided: 'Let us seek Guidance from our Lord.' Then they asked each of them to dig a grave, and decided the grave of the one who finished first be chosen for the burial of the Prophet's (saws) remains. The one who dug the ‘lahd’ finished first, so they buried the remains of the Prophet (saws) in a ‘lahd’ grave."
Related by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah.
It is evident from the above quoted hadith that both the ‘lahd’ and the ‘shaqq’ graves are permissible.

Join non-muslim army loyalty

Answer:
Join non-muslim army loyalty
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.
Your Question: My question is that I am staying in a country where muslims r in minority & the ruling government is non-muslim. One of my cousin is in the army of my country. Suppose if any war takes place between my country & a muslim nation is it permitted for me to fight for my country against our own muslim brothers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 60 Surah Mumtahina verses 8-9:
8 Allah forbids you not with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith, nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.
9 Allah only forbids you with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them that do wrong.
There is nothing wrong in joining the army of a pagan-nation one lives in or as a job and a means of livelihood; but when the situation arises where that pagan nation declares war or attacks a nation of believers, the believer in the pagan army would in effect would have to fight against brothers from his own faith, and thus put himself and his faith in a very big trial.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 58 Surah Mujadila verse 22:
22 Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 76:
76 Those who believe fight in the Cause of Allah; and those who reject faith fight in the Cause of Evil: so fight ye against the friends of the Shaytaan: feeble indeed is the cunning of the Shaytaan!
In light of the above absolutely clear guidance of the Quran, it would not be permissible or lawful in the least for a believer to join or support an army which is at war with a nation of believers, regardless of whether the believers happens to reside in the pagan nation or not!
Your Question: Secondly I want know that as I am in a non-muslim country can should I give importance to the muslim brothers staying in the other country or should I put my country in front whether it may be matter of war , games or any other thing. What comes first?
It is only natural that one loves and is loyal to one's family, one's friends, or the neighborhood one was born or grew up in, or the country one resides in, etc.....and there is absolutely no harm and no sin if one builds such love and loyalties in their life of this world.
But when one reaches the age of understanding, and with total and absolute conviction believes in Allah Subhanah as their Lord, Creator, and Sustainer....and believes in the advent and the reality of the Last Day....then it would be only a manifestation and sign of one's sincere faith that their eternal and everlasting loyalty would always be aligned to Allah Subhanah, the Lord and Creator of everything in existence!
For one who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day, his love for Allah Subhanah, His Messenger (saws), and the deen of al-Islam will supercede all his other 'loves', and his loyalty unto Allah Subhanah, His Messenger (saws), and al-Islam will supercede all his other 'loyalties'!
The Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the 'sweetness of faith':
1. The one to whom Allah and Messenger (saws) becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's Sake.
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief just as he hates to be thrown into the fire."
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, it is only natural that one might 'love' or develop 'loyalties' with many things in their given context; and one may and should strive to fulfill each 'love' and each 'loyalty' according to its prescribed hierarchy; thus there is absolutely no harm if one fulfills more than one loyalty.
But when one finds oneself in a situation that their loyalty to a thing clashes or is in contrast with one's loyalty to their own Creator....then belief and faith commands that the person disregard all such 'loyalties' which clash or even come close to compromising their 'loyalty' with The One Who Creates and Sustains all things!
It is only a manifestation of one's true belief and faith that one manifests and maintains unconditional 'loyalty' to Allah, His Messenger (saws), and al-Islam above all things in creation.
Thus if one is fortunate enough to live or dwell in a land which one sincerely loves and is patriotic or loyal to....there is absolutely no harm; and it would be their duty as a good citizen of that land to obey and follow all the laws of the land. But if at any point in their lives they find themselves in a situation where the laws of the land, or their love or loyalty for their land happens to clash with the Laws of Allah Subhanah, or clashes with their love or loyalty to Allah Subhanah....then those who sincerely believe in Allah and the Last Day should know with absolute conviction that it is only to Allah Subhanah and His Messenger to whom their unconditional loyalty is due.
